Trees for Life

Trees for Life

The ancient Caledonian Forest in the north of Scotland has been destroyed due to human intervention – need for timber for war ships and expansion of sheep farming. Thanks to new initiatives like the charity ‘Trees for Life’ the forest is now at last – slowly but in steady pace – being replanted, re-establishing a natural habitat for vegetation and wild animals. Helping out in this work makes a difference both for the world and yourself. It might be extremely difficult to eradicate abuse of humans and animals, but we can, at least in Scotland, help get the forest back, this way at least to some degree make up for years of human exploitation of our common home, the planet. Have a look at the website: http://www.treesforlife.org.uk/ and see how you can make a difference – while having a great time. Yes it is me struggling on the last picture. But the spirit of a great team of like-minded people makes up even for bad weather.
